Bright Future Signs MoU with MAFFS
Bright Future one of the many investments facilitated in the country by the Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Food Security (MAFFS) on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone on Wednesday 21st February 2018 at the Ministry. The MoU of signed by Professor Monty Jones, Minister of MAFFS and Mr Leslie Moskovitz, Project Manager Bright Future Ltd. witnessed by the Chairman, Board of Directors SLIEPA, Mr Oluniyi Robbin- Coker, Deputy Minister 11 MAFFS Hon. Lovell Thomas and Mr Farrell Elliott, Director of Investment Promotion SLIEPA.
Bright Future will be investing mainly in the Poultry industry and partially in the agricultural sector through the growing of crops to provide feed for their chickens and also provide support to local farmers through an out- grower scheme to help build the local economy and provide enough chickens and eggs for the local market and eventually export to the neighbouring countries in the sub-region. Bright Future is projecting the production of 350 thousand eggs directly on daily basis and another 350 thousand through their out- grower scheme daily as well. The company is poised to provide a robust and efficient medical facility for its chickens to combat diseases, good training facility for out-growers.
Bright future is a Company from Israel, with vast experience in the poultry industry and an investment value for the Sierra Leone project of around US$ 30 million. The company will kick start its operations later this year around Lunsar Port Loko District and eventually spread out nationwide.
