Established in 2014, Fly Mid Africa is a Gambian carrier based at Banjul International Airport. Mid Africa Aviation Limited, the parent company of Fly Mid Africa, also offers asset management services, including pre-financing, lease and BoT arrangements.
Fly Mid Africa Airline is being facilitated by the Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA) and Cinderella Travel and Tours Limited, Freetown, Sierra Leone to start operation in the country. On the 13th May, 2017, Fly Mid Africa Airline hosted 20 travel and tours agencies in the country to inform them about their operations in the country from the 15th May, 2017 in the West Africa sub-region.
FLY MID AFRICA wishes to inform the general public that it shall commence commercial flight operations out of Banjul International Airport effective 15th May, 2017. The airline shall initially serve six West African destinations; namely: The Gambia (Banjul), Senegal (Dakar), Sierra Leone (Freetown), Ghana (Accra), and Nigeria (Lagos) utilizing Boeing 737 Classic aircraft. Operations into Liberia (Monrovia) are envisaged to start in August when the on-going rehabilitation work at Roberts field International Airport, Monrovia, are due to be completed.
