A delegation from the Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA) led by the Chief Executive Officer Mr Sheku Lexmond Koroma are in Geneva, Switzerland to attend the World Investment Forum from the 22 to 26 October 2018 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, the United Nations Headquarters in Europe and an international business, economic development and diplomacy hub. Mr Koroma will join other speakers in the Talking Business in Africa event on 24th October 2018. The delegation was warmly received by Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Switzerland His Excellency Dr Lans Gberie and team. Other members of the delegation include Farrel Elliott, Director of Investment Promotion and Victor Bangura Investment Promotion Manager SLIEPA.
This year’s event is organized under the overall theme Investing in Sustainable Development, the Forum will address global challenges for international investment in the new era of globalization and industrialization. Investment stakeholders will gather to brainstorm solution-oriented initiatives and build global partnerships to advance prosperity for all. The Forum will bring more actors to the table including philanthropists, impact fund heads and other sustainability pioneers. More than 5,000 investment stakeholders are anticipated to converge in Geneva for the event.
